Cutting on the grain/cross-grain/bias can be an excellent way to get more or less structure from your underlining fabric, depending on the needs of the project. Grain placement makes a huge difference for any fabric. I have a question. Is there a certain way that you cut your underling? i.e parallel, bias, etc. I wonder if it makes much difference how you cut the underlinings in achieving structure? I've got a lot of drappy fabric plans for the future and know that I am going to have to work with some underlinings too.Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16439393534029787165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823578805242157520.post-53425424693174769662014-05-12T09:09:10.682-07:002014-05-12T09:09:10.682-07:00Ooh, that looks beautiful!Ooh, that looks beautiful!Ladyfairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17402600337611206195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823578805242157520.post-54748892000142477222014-05-12T03:20:39.807-07:002014-05-12T03:20:39.807-07:00Wow, I haven't had my coffee yet, I meant to s...Wow, I haven't had my coffee yet, I meant to say "of the underlinings and facings"...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4823578805242157520.post-10926832997191597632014-05-12T03:19:04.700-07:002014-05-12T03:19:04.700-07:00Looks gorgeous, and thanks for the pictures on the...Looks gorgeous, and thanks for the pictures on the underlining a facings.
