Like-Minded

Today I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon in San Francisco with some Bay Area sewing enthusiasts!  Most of our group from the Britex meet-up back in May were present, along with Cindy of Cation Design fame.  Because who else is going to be interested in hours and hours of conversation about Marfy Patterns, Alabama Chanin, the intricacies of fitting even the most basic of patterns, and so much more?!

A huge thank you to Vanessa for opening her stunning home to all of us, and to Beth for organizing.

For me, most San Francisco trips are in non-residential areas, but each time I walk quiet streets with old houses full of character, I want to do more exploring.  Then the parking issue reminds me why I never have.

I did manage to return home with less fabric than I started with, which is always a good thing.  But with all of the shared projects and inspiration, I am afraid there will be more sewing related purchases in my future!

Thank you, ladies, for an amazing afternoon!

  1. That sounds like such a wonderfully lovely event. I've always wanted to see The City By The Bay - hopefully one day.

  2. It was so nice to see you again! I had a wonderful time, and you all really gave me some much needed encouragement on my gown project. Looking forward to next time!
